Cine Nationale Story Pitching
PRESS RELEASE

Following the launch, the six production group participants stepped into the limelight to present their short film concepts.

The pitching of the teams’ ideas took place on August 3, 2026, during the Story Pitching that was conducted in the NU Fairview AB Communication Media Laboratory. The evaluators for the event were NU Fairview’s School of Arts and Sciences Dean Rizzi Anne Miñoza-Batara, AB Communication Program Chair Miss Joana Marie delos Reyes, and BA Communication Faculty: Cine Nationale Festival Director Mr. Nathan Perez, Miss Lennette Lantajo, and Miss Jesusa
Legua and Mr. Alexander Perez. Each production idea was judged based on how its unique interpretation of the theme captures the richness of Filipino culture.

Now that the pitching stage has been successfully completed, Cine Nationale 2026 moves from being a concept to becoming a reality with the official opening of Production Week. With the film cameras now rolling, there is no doubt that audiences will be treated to a selection of truly inspiring and thought-provoking short films highlighting the greatness of being human and paying homage to local tradition and culture in a way that showcases the richness of being
Filipino.

Cine Nationale is the premier flagship film festival of the National University Fairview, dedicated to empowering student filmmakers to produce original Filipino cinema.
